My family and I were somewhere between Reform and plain ole non-observant Jews.

The other Jewish families in town stayed away from us, especially in Temple during High Holy Days. We were given the message, "You're not Jewish enough".

Well, what do you want? We were Reform (kinda) and we ate lots of bacon and we didn't wear our religion on our sleeves. The other Jewish families acted as though we were counterfeit because they were Conservative. Trust me, I knew their kids and they were about as secular as we were.

Let Bernie be Bernie in peace and leave his religion out of the discourse. It's personal between him and his God.
