I have always been fascinated by mapping and exploring the world. I call it my cartographic addiction. I read maps like most read books or a newspaper. I think that my brain must be wired differently when it comes to spatial relationships.

Before gas prices, emissions concerns and global warming started to drive my behavior I used to get in my car, intentionally get lost and figure out ways to get back home.

It was entertainment and as an introvert, right up my alley, a great solitary activity. Most people don't like being lost so that's understandable.

Thanks so much for sharing this, Jim__.
