SOUTHERN MARYLAND — Southern Maryland residents woke up to a winter wonderland, with reports of up to 10 inches of snow in some areas—a stark contrast to recent years of little to no snowfall.

Residents across Southern Maryland reported varying snow totals to The BayNet’s Facebook page:

Owings: 10 inches
Huntingtown: 9.6 inches
Hughesville: 9 inches
Lusby: 8 inches
La Plata: 8 inches
Leonardtown: 6.5 inches
Hollywood: 7.5 inches
Clements: 6 inches

These reports showcase the widespread impact of the storm, with nearly a foot of snow in some parts.
