Coolpix P-1000. Dang, it's not obvious how to focus, at infinity. (in the dark) Tried several modes.
I set AF-Area mode -> manual, FWIW.
The control ring didn't seem to be engaging manual focus, (It should have) but I'll figure that out.
Learning stuff in the dark is not that easy.
More shots were in focus than not, not sure why.
I learn more every day.

The problem with astronomical objects at high magnification is that by the time you can even set the self-timer (to dampen vibration) the object has moved (the Earth, actually).

Never a dull moment.
Got to close doors and lights now.
