…off the shore of Lake Ontario. Snow, snow, and more snow most of the winters.

The schools next to never closed. One of the few times I remember the schools closing was when the re was so much snow the plows didn’t even get to our neighborhood for 3 days. The family across the street had a raised ranch style house and they went sledding out one of their upper story windows.

I spent my first 2years of college at Oswego, a little further north and right on the shore of Lake Ontario. It would get so windy there that the school would put up big heavy ropes between the buildings so we could pull ourselves to class against the wind.

No weather sissies in the snow belt of western upstate NY.
