5. Update on a simple backup energy supply

So after a lot of research into what is needed, as well as how much a home battery with solar would cost, I've found what should work for me in my live-alone 400 SF condo.

I already have two "power stations" that are good for laptops and small appliances, but wanted something to power the coffee maker and fridge and microwave, which have higher power demands than most "power stations can handle.

For about the same price as an entry level gas or propane generator, but with none of the hassle with fuel, I found a lithium battery pack with built in charger and inverter rated at 100AH, what you need to start a full size refrigerator (700W) or microwave or coffee maker (up to 1500W).

Because it will charge using anything from 12 to 60 Volts DC, it will be safe to plug into my Tesla Model 3 receptacle which is rated at 16Volts, but the onboard accessory battery can't handle a large inverter.

Thus, with an extension to reach the car outside my door, I can pull out this battery and run everything in the house while taking a trickle charge from the car.

It's expensive but a better package than buying all the components to put together (battery, inverter, charge controller, etc.)
