Is they minimializes women's sexuality, plus they're heteronormative. Women like an attractive male or female, (putting aside the huge issue of indoctrination in "what's attractive" with societal norms) yet repeatedly, theses "comparison" use a less attractive male,-- all the way to say, Feman and the "Walk a mile in her Shoes" organizations. (not really comparable, but all I could think of off hand)

I think objectifying men is the only way these type of ads CAN be effective. Interestingly, one complaint from men's groups is that men are often presented as buffoons in the media. So here is one supposedly making an attempt at battling sexism-- yet reinforces it from different directions. The guy looks like an idiot, but not a sexy idiot as the woman does.
