5. As I'm thinking of it.... she ( her character) really is the *strongest* of all the castaways.

Not that she doesn't wrestle w. demons. She DOES. And HOW.

But she seems to get the upper hand on them.

The best interaction: she say's she doesn't understand war. Not any of it. The John Hodiak character says, accusingly "Well... what are you doing in a US Navy uniform, then? ( ie. As a medic.)

She shoots back indignantly: "I'm doing the only thing I CAN do about it! Trying to patch them up after they've blown each other apart!"

Possibly the best snippet in a film *full* of great dialogue.
