11. I thought this was some kind of lame attempt at satire or something at first

Although I must admit I've been on the wrong end of #11 once - my ex-wife was very abusive, both emotionally and physically, and the cops were called more than once. The time I remember most vividly was when she had thrown a chair at me and the cops were practically begging her to tell them that I had hit her. Fortunately for me they got another call and had to leave. Those were some fun times, not. Still, it's usually the man doing the abusing so I suppose you can't really blame them for making that assumption.

The rest of that piece is pretty absurd.
