3. Women are on the receiving end of abuses of power far more than most men

And our society (including both parents) has to some degree socialised women to accept this - which must change.

Yet reporting workplace abuses, inappropriate behaviour of any kind, helping/protecting the vulnerable in the office, or standing up to power is a fairly sure way to shorten one's career. Been there, done that, and the tread marks are still visible. However, one also discovers who one's friends are, or - mostly - are not. The message has come in again and again - do not stand up for the bullied, but cheer for the bullies instead, or we will target you next.
