(13,744 posts)There are times that SB and I butt heads, indeed, there are some issues that we disagree on (she knows), we have the courage to actually respect each other and argue. I used an analogy of sparring partners, you engage in debate with people who challenge you, and you become stronger and better for the experience.
These "men" (and I use that in the loosest term) want to backstab. They do not even have the courage to FIGHT. They shun the light. And they have the nerve to come here, as if they represent liberals.
Let me break it down for these fools:
To the MRA and other assorted haters of feminists: unless you believe that all people have equal rights, regardless of race, creed, color, OR gender, you are NOT a democrat. You do not belong here.
To the same people mentioned above: No, things were not better in the good old days when white males or other males had the dominant voice. If you think they were, you are not a democrat, because democrats realize that those times hurt a lot of people, and frankly, were not all that good even for the white males, because the lack of solidarity between them and the rest of America made it easier for the Oligarchs to manipulate them. The reason groups are egging you on is because after you attacked the women and other minorities, they will turn around and say "see, if ya only did what we told ya before, ya wooda been happy!"
Only Solidarity, the realization that the myths we have been sold are mostly BULLSHIT, will free us, because as long as we want some vision of a time that never was, we will be forced to repeat the same damned cycle.
