(13,744 posts)gets old, the message does not, and that message was correct, and it did not violate DU's Terms of service, those same rules that seem to get ignored when certain people fell free to personally insult people. If you personally insult the right people, the juries are deaf, with the winning vote being done by that bastion of responsibility, Mr. "No explanation given", a mystical warrior that only shows his face while sipping beer with his bros over on that site that site that DU keeps advertising every time I log on, the site that rhymes with "percussionist."
If you doubt that, check the history is the author of this op. This lady has been the target of bans, which, oddly enough, always seems to get fanfare at that site I just mentioned. Yet, threads that defend "Men's rights" rarely get banned.
I understand that if we get to the point where we do not allow offensive speech, this place will get sterile, but no one will want to play the game if one group of players knows that the ref will call things their way. Part of being a Democrat, and yes, a liberal, is forcing the powers that be that no matter how much they carve and gild their platitudes of fairness, the reality on the streets is very different.
