It doesn't sound like the gown was the problem for the folks who spoke up, but her body. Seeing the pics before reading the text, I assumed the problem was going to be that the semi-see-through top was backed with a fabric nearly matching her skin tone, making it look like she was wearing something 'peek-a-boo'.
