1. what about signature/fingerprint guns? expensive, violate privacy, etc., but infinitely better

Possession of all non-antique weapons except for these would be illegal, and antique weapons would have to be registered.

I mean, we've got to register a car to drive it, so registering a gun and giving it a digital interface with optical or fingerprint scanning doesn't seem like an undue burden.

Dreaming, I know. . . .
