2. Lower Crime over last 20 years

Then why has the rate of violent crime been cut in half over the last 20 years, as the number of privately owned firearms increased dramatically?

After 20,000 gun control laws at all levels in the US, you would think someone would have hit the right one at some point. What's the magic law that needs to be passed that has been missed in these other 20,000?
