Can we delete this US graphic? It's a pro gun nra bragging point. Dunno for sure about 'serve the servants' motives, but I read this as a gloat, how shall issue ccw has expanded over the years - always at the behest of rightwing republican legislatures against the predominance of public opinion which did not want shall issue ccw in their states (even texas did not want it, as per gov anne Richards citing polls where ~60% Texans did not want it). Not one poll I ever saw had majority state support for shall issue.
.. only after republicans got control of their state upper & lower houses did they ram shall issue thru. And 'serve the servants' appears to be proud of this backhanded politics.
.. I suspect 'serve the servants' a pro gun brinksman. There are a few categories of pro gun posters I'll describe.
1. Coup Counters: Counting coup was an American Indian custom where the first one to touch the enemy got credit for his later demise, capture, or wounding. You could count coup by sneaking up on the enemy soldier, or engaging him in battle, simply touching him on the knee or shoulder etc & running off.
wiki: Counting coup refers to the winning of prestige in battle by the Plains Indians. Any blow struck against the enemy counted as a coup, but the most prestigious acts included touching an enemy warrior with the hand, bow, or with a coup stick then escaping unharmed. Risk of injury or death was required to count coup. Escaping unharmed while counting coup was considered a higher honor than being wounded.
.. This is the lightest 'intrusion' from the pro gun crowd. They just want to count coup & get away scot free back to the gungeon & some brag about it. They will creep up near the cliff edge but stay a safe distance away. (Hi, discntnt!).
2. Brinksmen: A bit bolder than coup counters, brinksmen will take their pro gun argument to the brink, but will avoid progun mantra. They might form their argument in a question 'will gun control really prevent all murders'?, but they never go really rogue, just to the brink & stop, like creeping up to the edge of the cliff.
3. Devil may care/daredevil intruders:.. they'll come in & swagger about not really caring if they get bounced or not, but try to avoid egregious accusations & try to present cogent progun arguments (which rarely work), so if they get bounced they scurry back to gungeon & whine how they were banned from bansalot for no valid reason. These guys will swagger up & down the cliff edge, not caring if they fall off.
4. Suicide bombers: self explanatory, eh? THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS IS WHAT PROTECTS US ALL FROM TYRANNY, OUR 2ND AMENDMENT IS SACRED AND ALL YOU GUN GRABBI..... KABOOOOOOOM. They just run up to the cliff edge & intentionally throw themselves off. They then get buried in the tomb of the unknown intruder, often with the ubiquitous headstone 'Message Removed, Name Deleted'.
.. the people of a tribe would gather together to recount their acts of bravery and "count coup." Coups were recorded by putting notches in a coup stick.. tie an eagle feather to their coup stick for each coup counted.. the placement of "coup bars" on the sleeves and shoulders of special shirts that bore paintings of the warrior's exploits
