and when you have been in a situation where males are predominantly the aggressor there is no signal to pick up that says something is wrong here to protect the self as in a healthy relationship with family males. To be sexualized in a family does not help one recognize the problem male and avoid them. And in a family situation as a child that betrayal makes one not accept males as good in general.
I've known wonderful males that would not take advantage of a child but the reality there are plenty that would.
