Anyone seen: "Inside LLewyn Davis" ? (Coen Brothers Film) [View all]

I'd never heard of it before, housemate recommended and lent me her copy to watch.

Setting is the Folk Scene in Greenwich Village - "pre Bob Dylan" - winter of 1961. Main character (Llewyn Davis, performed by Oscar Isaac) is a fictional character, loosely based on Dave Van Ronk (sort of). .

I have mixed feelings about the film, (love the music) and wondered if anyone here on DU was there on the scene at the time, and might have seen this film, what your thoughts are.

Justin Timberlake is in it, John Goodman and a bunch of very talented actors/folk musicians representing actual artists of the time. It might be available on Netflix, dunno for sure released in 2013.

I intend to get the soundtrack, I'd never heard of Oscar Isaac before this film, and I fell instantly in love with his voice, his sound.
