2. Same here.. I kept thinking: who the hell is this jerk?

I did not like his character at all. Just as he was about to come close to redeeming himself as a human being, he say or do something that flipped any endearing feelings I had for him on it's head. Until he sang, that is. But for me it wasn't the character he was playing, it was the actor-musician playing the part. Film opening on him singing "I've been All around this World" (Hang Me) put me in nostalgic zone, that song we sang on road trips when the kids were little. one of their faves.

On the netflix video there's a "behind the scenes" segment with excellent recording sessions for the backdrop of the film, in between all of the backslapping of the production of the film itself. Much more enjoyable to me than the actual film.
