I just tried watching J.K. Simmons in "Whiplash." I couldn't take more than 2 minutes of it. [View all]
I think J.K. Simmons is one of the best character actors ever---I've felt that way since his days in HBO's prison drama, "Oz." And it's obvious he deserved the Oscar for "Whiplash." But I don't need vivid flashbacks to every screaming asshole professor and boss I've ever had to put up with. I wish the rest of you better luck with it.
