"Romantically Apocalyptic"
Earth used to be a cyberpunk-dystopia ruled tyrannically by the megacorporation "The Good Directorate". Until one day someone spilled coffee into the harddrive of the AI "ANNET" that ruled Earth in the name of The Good Directorate. The feedback killed most of humanity, because everybody had a neural plug in their brain to better surf the internet.
Now Earth is a barren wasteland trapped in a global ice-age. You follow "Charles Snippy" (a former tour-guide), "Zee Captain" (who is best described as an eternally happy, non-violent, eerily capable psychopath) and the captain's coffee-mug (who strangely never runs out of hot coffee...) on their journey through the wasteland and you meet killer-robots, monsters, mutated animals, cannibals... and worse. All the while trying to find a place where you can survive and trying to find out what happened.
And all the while the decisive battle for the future of Earth and mankind is fought in a background-story by other... characters.

He works at a super-hero team called the "Justice League". She works at "Evil Inc.", a company that meets all a super-villain's needs for weapons, supplies and henchmen-for-hire.
