other favorites in the Brit police procedurals is The Unforgiven, The Bay, and Silent Witness. Black Work is good in the genre of "husbands who pretend they are dead"

Recently watched all the "Landscape Artists of the Year" so sad when it was over. Also the Simon Schama series is evocative.
