11. I've only seen one movie that was as good as the book it was adapted from

The Princess Bride. Probably because William Goldman was already a screenwriter when he wrote the book, and then later when Rob Reiner made it, he was the screenwriter.
I quit wishing to see books I love made into movies, because I got tired of them being so bad when compared to the book. I developed a real sense of dread at the idea of seeing a story I loved ruined.
Now if I has control over the final product, I could pull a hundred books off the shelves that would be awesome movies or limited run series...but nobody has offered me that opportunity yet!
