I never knew this group was here (introduction) [View all]

Never saw the "Support Groups" folder at the bottom and this is not under "Health" as you would think. Thanks, EvolveAndConvolve for letting the cat out of the bag and making me go look for it!!!

I'm Type 2, diagnosed in 2002. My entire family seems to have Diabetes - my mother and father, my paternal grandmother and maternal grandfather, 2 paternal aunts, most of my cousins and me. My younger sister has "impaired glucose tolerance" and my oldest daughter was diagnosed with hyperinsulinemia at 17 years of age and Diabetes this year.

I used to take Byetta and metformin, but stopped during my pregnancy with my now 15 month old twins. I went on Levemir and Novolog for the pregnancy and I liked the results so much that I stayed on them after I gave birth. On Byetta, my fasting glucose was usually 135 and my HbA1c was 5.9-6. Now, my FG is 89 and HbA1c is 5.6.

So, hi, everyone!
