Shake, Rattle and Roll [View all]
Yesterday, I bought an ounce of "shake" for $34.99 (plus tax). I had never heard the term or seen it used at this store, and I thought the online listing must be an error, since that's also their price for 1/8th ounce of premium flower. A quick search revealed that it's "the loose, fragmented pieces of cannabis flower that accumulate at the bottom of a bag or container. It consists of small buds, broken leaves, and trichomes that naturally separate during transportation or handling." It's said to be cheaper because it isn't as pretty as big buds, and apparently it can be somewhat less potent if there's a lot of leaf in it. But since I had been browsing to see what strains they had at their lowest price of $129/oz, I decided it was well worth a try -- and it definitely was! What I got was mostly finely ground powder -- lots of trichomes! -- maybe a little too fine for joints, but it's perfect for going straight into my dry herb vaporizer or my "one-hitter" with no grinding. I was so happy with such a bargain (and it's funny that the strain's name was Happy Camper), I went back this morning and saw that they had shake from another strain listed. Since I'm not sure if this is going to be one of their standard offerings, I reserved an ounce to pick up today.
If this does become one of their standard products, I'm jumping on it every time!
