He wishes not to ally with or assist the Democratic Party, rather he imagines he can take it over, make it over into his own image, and having thus breached the castle wall, use his new revolutionary party as the tool for destruction of the remaining institutions of the Establishment.
Yes indeed, through both word and deed, it's been proven to me time and again who is (and who ISN'T) a friend of the Democratic party. After what we've seen in recent months, it's clear what the intent is.

He considers the Democratic Party as much the Establishment as he does the Republican Party.
Oh, I agree with that! With so many smears and attacks on the Democratic party (calling us "corrupt" and "feeble" and "the party of the one-percent" and "no different than the GOP", etc.) things like that only serve to weaken and divide. It creates distrust and resentment.

It's the source of so much negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

A course of action, on reflection, rather like that of a virus towards a living cell.
Oh, you do have a wonderful way with words.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
