Biden/Obama is impossible. The 22nd Amendment eliminates Obama from consideration, and that would probably drive turnout for the racists on Dolt45's behalf instead.
Where Biden needs help is North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Texas, Georgia--states that have the potential to flip for him, with the right VP.
That means Kamala or, at an outside chance, Grisham, to rev up the Hispanic vote. If you want a demographic to vote big, especially one that's had lackluster participation in the past, then you pick one of them to run at the top of your ticket, to generate record-breaking enthusiasm and excitement. I firmly believe that Hillary would have won Arizona and Texas or at least made the latter scary-close if she had chosen Julián Castro as her running mate in 2016.
