It is a small, but often very vocal minority. Many that I encountered in the past two or three weeks seemed to be more trolls than genuine supporters. The small handful who are obsessive supporters like possibly this guy, seem a bit unhinged. I think we see people like that in every primary, though somehow this year it feels worse.
Perhaps it has to do with the madness of having Trump as president for over four years. He has brought out the worst in people regardless of political affiliation. It just manifests differently in people. So many of us are grasping desperately for some hope and sanity, and some will find that in a political leader.
