I'm here in Washington, watching as we go into total lockdown. Trump's credibility is going to start taking a beating as covid-19 continues its way into the red states, especially as he has no real authority to override the governors at this point and his promises continue to remain empty, while Biden's doing the right thing by remaining visible and authoritative.

It's possible by the 12th of April (Easter, when Trump thinks that easing can happen) that Washington State will be past the worst of this. We instituted distancing protocols earliest, and they have become progressively more restrictive, but I'd be surprised if Inslee declared an all-clear at that point. Meanwhile, I expect that states like Missouri, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas, Iowa, and the Dakotas will likely be really just entering the window, and won't be out of it until July at the earliest.

I also think that Trump's free daily advertising is going to stop within the next couple of weeks as he wears out his welcome on the various news channels. Once that happens, he'll become a lot less visible, while I suspect that Biden and Bloomberg may be working on an advertising blitz once the coronavirus does finally settle out.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
