It is not rule by minority. That is oligarchy, or in extreme cases autocracy.

Having, say, thirty percent of the vote, or of the delegates, does not mean three out of ten decisions go your way. The minority is entitled to nothing, and receives only what the majority may be willing to grant.

At present 'progressives', defined as people who continue in support of Sanders, are in no position to demand anything. They are busily doing their best to demonstrate they are not reliable partners in a coalition. The means by which such 'progressives' seek to secure influence is to state they will punish the Party if not cottoned to by being granted a degree of influence their strength, whether in primary votes or convention delegates, does not entitle them to. This has the effect, not of moving the Party to court 'progressives', but rather to seek elsewhere for reliable blocs of voters. With the left-most tail of the political bell-curve engaged in some combination of sulks and vapors, such blocs must be sought towards the center. No one on the left should need courting to rally against the cheap thug Trump. Those who do demand they be courted, and threaten to withhold their votes from our nominee, will find they have driven the Party more towards the center instead of drawing it to the left, by their foolish strategy.
