When I was in the very early grades, we said "the school prayer" every day along with the Pledge. All I remember was the end, "our parents, our teachers and our country." I remember it being all that religious. But then, when I was still in elementary school, "the school prayer" was replaced by "a moment of silence," when we kids we told we could pray if we wanted. Then that disappeared and nobody missed it, it was confusing.
So now they're bringing actual religion into public school classrooms?! I'm guessing that some legislation was enacted when I was in elementary school that considered the wish for "our parents, our teachers and our country" crossed the line between church and state, so now they're bringing in actual Bibles?! Where's the legislation now?!
If parents wanted religion in the classroom, they can send their kids to a religious or parochial school. We had required religion classes and daily chapel at my boarding school, but parents knew what they were getting into by sending their kids there. And it's not like TFG is in the least religious, his version of the Bible is just one more grifting money-making scheme for him. Joe Biden is Catholic, but we rarely hear about it, it's personal, as it should be.
