Sen. Chuck Schumer issues warning on cost of eggs and other groceries

5. The 7/11 stores in my area (western NY)

are charging $7/dozen. I have not looked at the supermarket prices because the only time I use eggs is in baking, due to an allergy to the whites. I can eat baked foods with eggs in them as long as they use only 1 or 2 eggs. No meringues, angel food cakes, etc. No fried, scrambled, boiled, deviled eggs or omelets. No French toast.

I used up the last of my eggs yesterday.
