5. If the media doesn't favor us then we have to work harder.

Where's our marketing department? Where are our clever one-line retorts to trickle down economics, tax & spend democrats, clean skies & healthy forests, no child left behind & others? Where are our challenges to their claims of being the party of family values? Where are our charts showing dems actually handle the economy better?

George Lakoff, probably best known for his book Don't Think of an Elephant, wrote another book, Moral Politics where he delves into the different ways dem & repub leadership reach voters. Repubs go for emotions entirely & dems lean too much on logic. He wrote, dems think people will go to the platform page & read what the party stands for & what they want to achieve. Repubs OTOH, just come up with clever & usually deceptive phrases that appeal to emotion, with empty policy pages. Personally, I think our side is wrong. I think more people vote on emotion than logic. Even dem voters.

I think we have some real media talent in our younger gen though, & they're ready to get in the ring. And I want to make clear I think the Harris campaign did an excellent job, especially considering she had to put a presidential campaign together on the spot. Has any male candidate ever had to do what she did?
