In other words, keep yourself grounded in what is happening today. Horrible as it sounds at the moment, we're not certain how it will play out in the future. Undoubtedly, it won't be good, but don't let it be worse in your imagination than it already is. This is a variant of obeying in advance.
We don't know how this will all work out. Why, just today we saw 38 Republicans vote against what Mango Mussolini ordered them to support. Nothing about the incoming administration is set in stone, least of all our future.
So keep yourself focused on what is and don't let your imagination prey on what may be. For as the Nazarene succinctly phrased it, Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
