The old, time-tested way for a handful of bullies and fraudsters to defeat much larger groups.

I'm convinced that most voters, Dem or Republican, actually agree on as many or more issues than they disagree on (ask anyone you know whether more bankers should have been prosecuted after the 2008 Crash, or how they like our health care system), but that we're allowing TPTB to keep us inflamed & hypnotized by wedge issues – thus ensuring that we fail to make any progress on the issues we actually agree on.
