7. They thought the Muslim world would rally to their cause to wipe out Israel

They expected Hezbollah, Iran and Yemen to hit Israel with a full-force, multi-front assault in their aid and start a war with the ultimate goal of wiping Israel off the face of the earth.

Unfortunately for them, their "allies" were not as suicidal as they were.
