20. Had a regular check-up at the Docs.

He asked me how I was doing, and I told him that since the election, I'd been pretty depressed and anxious. I didn't expect him to do anything about it, but he asked so I told him.
He patted my knee and said, "Oh, everything is going to be ok. You'll see."
I looked at him without a hint of a smile and said, "No. No, it's not. And you should be worried too."
Well, that ended that exchange, and he moved on to my list of medications and the current pharmacy I was using.
What is wrong with so many people? How can someone intelligent enough to get a medical degree be so dense when it comes to such an obvious upcoming mess in our government and our lives as a result?
I like the guy. I really do, but seriously??? I guess when his patients start rolling in with serious illnesses that could have been prevented with vaccines, he might think again. A pediatrician shares the building. Can't wait for the little kids, babies and their parents having to start using "our" side of the waiting room. Perhaps that will give him pause.
