it is derived from Judah, or Jacob. The early Hebrews were very influenced from the Babylonians and Persians, who conquered them.
There is little influence from Egypt. Contrary to the Bible, the Jews were never slaves in Egypt. It is hard to find any evidence there was a Hebrew people as in the Bible at the time of the mythical Moses and Exodus. Sephardic tribes, yes, but a Jewish people, they vame later.
