Analysis: The president isn't on the ballot. But his presidency and voters' harsh feelings about it are setting the mood for the election.https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/chuck-todd-will-biden-cost-harris-election-rcna175421

For a country that seems evenly divided over politics and polarized about many cultural issues, a durable majority does agree about one thing: They dont like the Biden presidency. [Emphasis the OP's.]
And despite the machinations that resulted in President Joe Bidens not being on the ballot this election season, his unpopularity is still the mood music of this election.
But while Biden isnt on the ballot anymore, voters are certainly feeling his presence. If theres one thing its clear they dont want, its a candidate who reminds them of Biden.
By a 2-to-1 ratio (22% positive, 46% negative), voters view the word Bidenomics negatively, including the approximately one-fifth of all voters whom our pollsters deem swing voters people who havent voted straight GOP or Democratic for the White House since 2016.
They tested the word "Bidenomics" for this story, which no Dem has invoked in a year. Todd keeps hammering on how unpopular Biden is. This is a hit piece. MSM "analysts" are continuously on the hunt for a new angle or perspective to report from, and they're analyzing from more and more ridiculous perspectives.
I get that the polling is in opposition to the reality and that people "feel" the economy isn't working for them, when, in fact, it is. THAT should be the angle that the analysts analyze: why is it that the US has the most thriving economy in the world...the lowest unemployment rate in a long time, the lowest inflation rate since forever, the highest GDP in a long time, and on and on.
The real question to analyze is: why are people's "feelings" in opposition to reality, and not "why people's 'feelings' might cost Harris the election". Where does the cynicism come from? Is it that we have it too good and that we have too much time on our hands to ruminate about less relevant things? Is it Republican mis-information?
For fuck's sake this kind of analysis and so-called "reporting" just infuriates me.

If it's simply guilt by association, not much to be done at this point. I worry more about Israel or something else....
