Friend works at Christiana Care and said that they are halting the vaccinations of staff. [View all]

Appointments are being cancelled for those who already had their first shot, and staff who have not received their first shot yet are being turned down for scheduling an appointment. Said this is so the public can have enough shots for their vaccination drives.

According to Carney, Phase 1B includes all individuals 65 and over, and front line essential workers including: fire, police, correctional officers, teachers and education staff (including child care providers), U.S. postal workers, food manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, and grocery store workers.

I'm in that group (educational staff), but I'd rather make sure my dr. and staff had their's first. I can control more whom I come in contact with than they can. If I needed an ambulance, I'd rather know that the attending paramedics had their full dose.
