Recent studies (you have to Google for them) have shown that a Vitamin D deficiency can result in depression. Most people get enough Vitamin D from dairy products and sunlight but if you are an “indoorsy” introvert, that may not be enough sunlight for some of us!

If you're an introvert and you are suffering from depression from no discernible emotional traumas, the Vitamin D deficiency MAY be the reason why... Your body uses Vitamin D to synthesize serotonin which is a natural substance that makes you feel as though life is worth living.

So if you're Vitamin D deficient then you're are more likely to be depressed. If you have health insurance, and you talk to your doctor about depression, ask your doctor to test you for this deficiency BEFORE allowing him/her to prescribe anti-depressants.

My .02 cents! Have a great day everybody! I make this post periodically - it may give someone another avenue to explore WRT their depression...
