As you know, Peggy, I'm an amateur writer. I've never been paid for my writing, but some people do appear to enjoy it and I often give it away. I write for free.
Maybe this dream is telling me not to do that- to wait and maybe a reward will come. The young artist in the dream has parallels with a younger version of myself as well.
And it could mean something totally different. 
The great psychoanalyst Marie-Louise von Franz once said that most dreams are valid for about three days. She also thought that dreams sometimes had a prognostic quality to them. We will see. Maybe I will discover a great artist in the near future.
