Apparently, there's some "new" "scientific" theory that planets start out "puffy" and collapse like soufflés. All sorts of "unexplained anomalies" (which apparently haven't been noticed by anyone else) are UNIQUELY explained by this radical new theory ! And yet, strangely enough, there seems to be only a single researcher supporting this theory ! See the link within the first link above to see how the "dogma" of constant planet size was "justified" by plate tectonics -- i.e. before plate tectonics came along apparently no one assumed the planets weren't constantly changing in size.

Hope this doesn't last as long as the Electric Universe episode.
