I'm horrified by the experiences you went through, and I acknowledge that violence against males is a unaddressed topic. My point is you seemed to want to equate sexual violence against all violence.

It usually derails the conversation about sexual violence. I suspect your experiences have harmed you in a similar way as rape will, often ending up in PTSD, and/or a general distrust of people.

If you need to express yourself, feel free, and I apologize for any hurt I caused you.

This is how we too often end up talking past each other.
