19. I never liked Soundgarden, but I'm a huge AIC fan...

I'll forgive the lack of appropriate levels of adoration from you and ismnot for Pearl Jam seeing as how you mentioned some bands I love. I had a real thing for the Afghan Whigs for a long time, even though (and I don't know if it makes sense) I found some of their music kind of sleazy like there was an oily film over it when I was listening to it. My big loves from that era apart from PJ and AIC were Mudhoney. Anyway, that whole Seattle thing wasn't the high point of the 90's for me. The high point was Pavement, Guided By Voices, Dinosaur Jr and Sebadoh. One of my friends is a music snob and informed me that my dislike of going to the gym is because when I do go, I listen to 'slacker rock' which is designed to sap all my energy as I listen to it

I've always liked PJ, to be honest. Just don't think of them as "moshing" music, is all. nomorenomore08 Jun 2014 #20

Not a fan - and Lewis's attempt at a faux-country career was just awful - but good for them. Really. nomorenomore08 Jun 2014 #10
