5. All are worthy of protection? And what happens when those judgements collide?

How about death-penalties?
Or sending soldiers into war?
Or going to war in general?
How about insufficient medical care?
Or pregnancies that threaten the life of the mother?
Or environmental pollution?

And what does human "life" mean? Merely being alive? Or having legal rights? Like the freedom to make your own medical decisions for your own body?
