that I was disappointed in it.

My reasons: 1.

The main character of Amy was characterized, IMO, differently and not nearly
as interestingly as in the book. For at least the first 2/3 of the book, she was snarky, witty and ironic,
In other words, funny and even likeable. I could actually identify with her, to an extent.
The movie, in my view, showed NONE of that -- She was played as a blank slate,
almost -- unsmiling and serious. I agree that this was one aspect of her personality,
but it barely surfaced until the 3rd act.

2. I found it way too graphic in terms of violence, and gratuitously foul-mouthed, in an
anti-female way. I found this depressingly misogynistic, especially since most of it came
from the women.

I mean, seriously, has anyone ever actually heard of "Double Twat" panties?

I should add the Mr. Whathell disliked as well.
